# Cyberpunk — Build Futures That Feel Used, Unequal, and Alive
## Why Install This Skill
“Cyberpunk” often collapses into wet pavement, neon signs, and a cool jacket. William Gibsons Sprawl fiction is more useful than that. Its force comes from the friction between a person trying to get through the day and the enormous systems shaping access, work, bodies, and culture around them.
This skill helps your agent create or analyze a world with that underlying logic. It can turn an image request into an art direction brief with human action and material history, turn a vague “megacity” into a place with maintenance and markets, or help a story find stakes without copying Gibsons prose or extending his canon.
## What You Get
| Path | What it provides |
|---|---|
| `SKILL.md` | A compact workflow for scenes, images, setting design, and analysis |
| `references/canon-and-boundaries.md` | Corpus, source discipline, and a clear distinction between canon, inference, and original adaptation |
| `references/world-operations.md` | Practical models for infrastructure, power, culture, technology, and plot pressure |
| `references/visual-direction.md` | Composition grammar, photographic depth hierarchy, prompt template, examples, and visual pitfalls |
| `evals/evals.json` | Eight representative behavior checks, including copyright, stereotyping, text-policy, and photographic-realism boundaries |
| `tests/trigger-cases.md` | Positive and near-miss activation checks |
## Quick Start
Ask your agent:
```text
Design an original freight-market scene in a dense future city. I need one
human problem, a believable repair economy, and image direction that does not
fall back on generic neon cyberpunk.
```
## Triggers
Load this skill when you need:
- Original settings, scenes, or visuals informed by the material and social logic of Gibsons Sprawl fiction.
- A useful explanation of how a dense, high-tech, unevenly maintained city might operate.
- Art direction that emphasizes human action, infrastructure, and cultural specificity rather than generic cyberpunk decoration.
- Careful separation of a textual observation, an interpretation, and a new creative adaptation.
## Requirements
No software, model, or API dependency. The skill works best when the agent can consult the relevant primary text for a specific canon claim. It does not authorize imitation of William Gibsons prose, use of named canon as if licensed, or reproduction of protected scenes or characters.
