# Source pattern and attribution

This original skill was informed by *Ready Together: An Emergency Preparedness

Handbook for You and Your Neighbors*, hosted by Mutual Aid Disaster Relief:

The handbook's acknowledgements credit individuals and organizations including

Transition US, the City of Renton Office of Emergency Management, and NewStories.

||
Hosting does not establish authorship. No affiliation or endorsement is implied.

The relevant design pattern is a facilitated progression from shared concerns to
|
||
individual and collective action, supported by worksheets and later practice.
|
||
Useful starting locations in the PDF are its overview (printed p. 3), group setup
|
||
(pp. 5–7), exercises (pp. 13–14), investment menus (pp. 15–16), role exercise (p. 28),
|
||
practice/review (pp. 37–39), and facilitator guidance (pp. 66–68).

||
|
||
The skill's generalization beyond preparedness, structured plan, checker, templates,
|
||
and fictional examples are new design work. The skill does not require the original
|
||
chapter sequence, quotations, role cards, or worksheets. The source's technical
|
||
instructions are not a maintained source of current medical, engineering, food,
|
||
water, or emergency advice. Research those claims for the actual place and time.
|
||
|
||
Link and attribute the source; do not bundle the PDF or copy its illustrations,
|
||
worksheets, or substantial text without verifying reuse rights. The repository's
|
||
MIT license covers the original contribution, not the source handbook.
